Even during indyref, I would have been quite happy with EFTA membership, and events in the last few years makes me feel that even more so.
However, what is so frustrating about this whole EU/Currency debate is that we KNOW we need our own currency to join the EU, but the Scottish Govt just refuse to say it. This, and the lack of willingness to have an honest debate, and to allow the Scottish public the right to decide for ourselves, are all of a piece with the SNP following the Labour Party into the place where professional politicians and the managerial class operate together, with no input from the people.
